Coffee is a berry fruit that is grown all over the world in the subtropical belt. The character of the soil, whether the coffee is grown in sun or shade and how it is processed when the berries are picked, further develops the flavour of the coffee and gives it its personality.
It is therefore important to us that our coffee farmers have access to the necessary equipment, to the development of knowledge and expertise, and to labour. We pay well for the farmer's efforts so that the process can be repeated year after year.

ROASTING COFFEE IS AN ART
At our roastery at Ryen in Oslo, we develop customised roast profiles for all our coffee types. A roast profile specifies how long the raw coffee should be roasted at what temperature, and how and when the heat should be applied during roasting to develop the right flavour and aroma. The precision lies in utilising the potential of each individual coffee bean.

IT SHOULD BE EASY TO BREW GOOD COFFEE
Good coffee beans, preferably freshly ground, fresh water and clean equipment go a long way. We have developed brewing guides for several different methods, so you can easily follow the recipe step by step.
