Welcome to a coffee course in our concept store in Mathallen! We'll take you into a world of coffee flavours where you can learn more about coffee and taste coffee from all over the coffee belt.
- The course is divided into a theoretical part and a tasting part.
- The course lasts 1.5 hours and costs NOK 490 per person.
- There is room for 2 - 8 participants on each course.
- If you would like a similar course in the field of tea, we can organise that too.
We also accept bookings for small and large groups outside scheduled times. To book this, please contact us directly at Mathallen by e-mail vulkan@sh.no
Content of the course:
From bean to cup:
In the first part of the course, we'll get to know coffee better - all the way from bean to cup. You'll learn more about where and how coffee is grown, harvested, processed, traded, roasted and finally brewed. We will also go through the different parts of the world where coffee is grown and you will learn more about the typical differences in flavour from the different parts of the world.
Cupping:
After the theoretical part, we'll taste coffees from all over the coffee belt - from Asia, to Africa and South and Central America. You will learn cupping techniques and get an introduction to coffee tasting. By cupping, you'll learn to recognise the flavour differences between the various coffees.
